A guide to My Half Apple

My Half Apple helps people explore compatibility through personality, values and life goals, with one active match at a time. This guide explains what to expect before completing a profile and how to use a match thoughtfully.

How matching works

  1. Create an account, accept the applicable terms and privacy information, and verify your email. Each account has one profile.
  2. Complete 500 scored questions: 300 personality questions and 200 alignment questions, plus relationship preference, age, education and approximate location. Answer for your usual behavior, rather than an ideal version of yourself.
  3. Saving a complete profile does not start a search. Choose “Find compatible partner” when you want to join the waitlist.
  4. Matching runs for selected areas at selected times. The administrator chooses when and where to run it; the algorithm chooses the pairs from eligible profiles.
  5. If a pair is created, both people receive an email and the private text chat becomes available. Neither can receive another match while that match is active.

A match has no automatic end date. Either person can confirm “Find new partner” to end it. This deletes its messages and returns the requester to the waitlist; the other person chooses whether to search again. A previous pair cannot be matched together again.

What the compatibility method compares

The personality portion describes patterns such as sociability, emotional reactions and everyday habits. The alignment portion compares views on relationships, priorities and life plans. The system combines similarities, complementary characteristics and checks for critical incompatibilities; identical answers are not always the goal.

Before comparing eligible pairs, matching checks relationship preferences, a maximum age difference of five years and a maximum distance of 500 km. It also requires verified email, a complete profile, an explicit search request and no active match. Area runs further limit the pool, so those limits do not mean everyone within 500 km will be considered in every run.

The results describe questionnaire compatibility. They are not a clinical diagnosis, an identity check or a prediction of attraction or relationship success. Honest answers help the comparison reflect you, but no score replaces getting to know someone.

Frequently asked questions

Why am I still waiting?

Joining the waitlist does not run matching immediately. Timing, local availability and compatibility affect whether a pair is possible. There is no guaranteed match or waiting time.

Can I continue the questionnaire later?

Progress is saved in this browser for your account. Use the same browser to resume unfinished answers; clearing browser storage can remove that progress. A completed profile saved to the server is restored when you sign in.

Do chat messages expire with the match?

Each message is limited to 300 characters and expires after approximately 24 hours. The match itself continues until someone ends it, even when no messages remain.

Does my match receive my email?

The service does not give your account email to your match. You decide whether to share contact information in a conversation. You do not need a social media account.

How do I remove my account or ask for help?

Use the account deletion option in the account view. For support or privacy requests, contact admin@myhalfapple.com. The Privacy Policy explains data handling and rights.

Safety and privacy in practice

Email verification confirms access to an email address; it is not a background check. A compatibility result cannot establish someone’s identity, honesty or safety. Keep early conversations in the service and share personal details only when you feel comfortable.

Do not share passwords, verification codes, financial details or your home address. If someone pressures you for money or sensitive information, stop communicating and contact support. For an initial meeting, choose a public place, arrange your own transport and tell someone you trust your plans.

Private chat access is restricted to the matched participants. Expiring messages does not prevent the recipient from copying or capturing them. Read the Privacy Policy and Terms before deciding what to share.

From a compatible profile to a useful conversation

Use the first conversation to understand everyday expectations. Ask “What does a good week together look like?” to discuss time and independence, or “How do you handle a disagreement?” to explore communication. Discuss family plans and priorities directly rather than assuming a match means agreement on everything.

For example, two people may both value family but expect different amounts of time with relatives. That difference needs a conversation about boundaries and routines. Look for respectful listening, consistent behavior and room for both people’s choices. Take your time; you do not owe anyone personal information, a meeting or a relationship because an algorithm paired you.
